That sticky humidity that is coming to sit for a spell across the South ushers in one of the best seasons we have down this way, Summertime!
Give me those South Georgia gnats and bundles of sweet as sugar peaches and life is good.
Summer this year brings a bit of change for me too.
Graduating in December carried me to Atlanta where I’ve lived with 5 of my absolute best friends for 6 months.
I came out of the womb going 90 mph, so I decided to take some time to breathe post-grad. Needless to say, 6 months of part-time jobs, silly nights and spontaneous trips were the perfect “welcome-to-adult-life” cocktail.
If you’ve followed along here for a while, you know of my job hunt. Sifting through my passions and skills, killing the what-ifs and how-tos, claiming Truth and hitching my wagon to a few good dreams - it’s been quite the wild ride.
As tough as it has been (easy ain’t a word I’d apply to post-grad, unemployed, job hunting, who-the-heck-am-I life), it’s been a course altering season.
The Lord continues to do a work in my heart that I know could not be done if I wasn’t in this exact place. Tilling the soil, if you will.
We’re in this together too, by the way. If you’ve prayed, thank you. If you’re dreaming, keep on. If you are confused, you are not alone.
Fighting to be rooted in Promises never, ever leads to a dry well. It’s worth it.
And with that, I’m excited to tell you that I’m moving back to Nashville:
And will be traveling the Western side of our pretty country:
Introducing people to and creating swooning fans of:
Are these clothes not the prettiest things you’ve ever seen?
I’ll be traveling from Mississippi to Texas (hope to meet a few of you sweet Texas girls!) to California and on. I could not be more thrilled for the next season.
My pastor in Athens preached out of II Thessalonians on your distinct calling from the Lord. What he said has been painted in a bright chartreuse across the white board of my mind the past few weeks:
It’s not where you live, it’s how you live.
It’s now what you do, it’s how you do it.
I believe in you, believe in the passions the Lord fashioned specifically for your heart and life and continue to pray for you as you choose to live in the confidence of His great provision and plan.
We’re in for a treat in this life of ours, I just know it. Cheers to adventure & dreams!
